My God,this guy really deserves every accolades he gets now,I saw the game and I think this guy is the best young player of his category in the world, even the big Ramos could not stand him.Aside carsola being the goal scorer he was ma man of the match.Great asset for The Super Eagles, big headache for the coach.
When we spoke of him the duo of Tayo and Drey almost went mad screaming he is too young to break and should keep learning, now they have gone hiding in the dark room! Let them come out or?
Finally the super eagles now have a real superstar. This is not a joke. Samu chukwueze is the real thing. Believe me we have a superstar in our hands. Welldone samu.
Definitely a precocious talent to behold. He was absolutely fantastic against the Merengue of all teams. To play like this against Los Blancos is incredible. I’m a big time Madarista, but I must commend the exploits of this young lad so far. I think he can walk straight into the SuperEagles first 11 if he keeps up this form till June. On the flanks we have Musa, Kalu, Simon and Chukwueze. Being a Natural Left footer he can definitely make one of the wings his own.
Chukwueze has faced the best in the world and shone. Today he got the better of Modric, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos to tee up a goal from his side of the pitch.
Last year against Barcelona, they sacrificed Jordi Alba to shackle him with mixed success.
I just pray he stays fit and injury free in 2019
Oh God! what a talent we’ve got. Ramos got frustrated at some point and began his usual rough game tactics on Chukwueze yet he still shone. Now Coach GR is going to have a very big selection Headache on the wings cuz now we’ve got Samu, Kalu,Musa,Henry,Moses Simon. Here’s the link to watch the highlight so it won’t sound like we’re hyping this so called Chukwueze!

It was hard watching two matches at once yesterday but that was exactly what I did to watch the classic that was Man City vs Liverpool and the pure class that was Chukwueze vs Real Madrid.
Whilst the outcome of the Premiership match left me gutted having wanted Liverpool to prevail, the performance of Chukwueze left me speechless having seen more than I bargained for.
Confidence, pace, speed, trickery, astute passes, positioning, awareness and endeavor characterized his game however for all he showed, you can still see that this is a young man learning his trade.
I hope and pray that he continues to be around the right coaches and mentors who will help channel his immense talents along the right path.
At present, the Super Eagles seems to have an assembly line that keeps producing more wingers, defensive midfielders and defenders to the detriment of attacking midfielders and high quality centre forwards.
Also, there are far too many “potentials” in the Super Eagles.
One week/one season, you see a performance like that of Chukwueze last night but all too often, it is neither followed up nor reproduced consistently enough for these players to be strong contenders for the likes of BBC or CAF Africa footballer of the year awards.
It was fascinating to watch Chukwueze strut his stuff against Madrid however I had similar feelings watching Imoh Ezekiel some years back and Taiwo Awoniyi (who was brilliant) last season. Both held promises; both still hold promise….
Samuel has only had one off game this season. Sanyo Cazorla seems to have taken him under his wing to keep him focussed.
I think he is a class apart from Imoh Ezekiel (who is getting game time now at Kortjik in the second half of the season) and Taiwo Awoniyi. Time will tell though. If he continues on their path then Sam Kalu will be playing second fiddle to him at AFCON
*Santi
If he continues on *his
Expectations need to be tempered. The young man’s toolkit is still missing many skills and capabilities (likes judgment) which can only be acquired with experience.
He is good; but for now, Chukwueze still belongs to that category of players called “potentials”.
A lot will need to happen for these to be fulfilled however things are looking promising.
What i saw yesterday,is enough to place my expectations really really highh
But BigD, Samuel Kalu is comfortable on both feet, so can man the Forward Right position, while Chukwueze pins down the Forward Left role. He’s obviously the best natural Nigerian left footer since the days of Emmanuel Amunike, and Amunike did well to groom this one.
So I think Chukwueze and Kalu can start together in an SE shirt while Ighalo plays the Central Forward role and Osimhen deputizing for Ighalo in a probable attack-minded 4-2-1-3 formation.
I’ll be uncomfortable if neither of these 2 exciting talents start the next SE matches. Rohr can find a role for Musa behind them or he, Musa, starts from the bench. Lol. With Musa behind them and Ndidi plus Mikel coordinating things from the midfield, beating any African opposition shouldnt be too hard.
Alternatively, Kalu can play RB or LB, occasionally bursting forward through the wings like Rohr assigned him in the last match in SA. Musa holds down RW position, Chukwueze on LW, Ighalo CF and Iwobi playing supporting striker and number 10 behind Ighalo. Oshimen comes in to replace Ighalo in 75mins.
Iheanacho? Lol. Ol’ boy, bench dey call you for SE.
@Kel, both players are almost exclusively right wing players. Their tale of the tape:
S Kalu 21 games 2 goals 3 assists 1453 minutes. All goals and assists came from the right wing (in 14 games)
S Chukwueze 26 games 6 goals 3 assists 1699 minutes. All goals and assists came from the right wing (in 16 games)
Chukwueze shades Kalu on stats and by playing at a higher level (number one league in Europe) plus his unorthodox left foot right wing devastates oppositions because they cannot tackle him as they would normally do others.
On the left wing we have Musa who can double up as second striker if a 442 is employed whilst Chukwueze can deputise as second striker also. Sub for left wing is a battle between Onyekuru and Rohr favourite Moses Simon. And if we use our head Henry should get it on fitness, condition and this season stats. However, Rohr justifies Moses inclusion by pointing out that Moses is better defensively.
Chukwueze can’t be a one-off. This guy is the best player we have unearthed after Mikel Obi. His techniques and nimble play is top notched and surely and all thing being equal he would be a top top player.
Even the commentators was so happy to watched him and they praised him alot,if he his a Brazilian i bet big clubs would have snatched him already, santi Carozola knows he his very good that’s why he kept making sure the ball get to him. This guy is prolific and know one can get him below 40 million pounds, for the first time to see a very expensive Nigerian player.Villareal have so much to do to keep this guy. Marcelo, sergio Ramos and other Madrid players were even scared of getting close to him .Keep it up bro and you will be one of the best in the soon because Messi also started like this
The new okocha has indeed arrived. This player played against world class players, Ramos, Marcelo and modric and yet he showed class and skills. We need chukwueze at afcon 2019.
oh my GOD! people were praisin chukwueze callin him new arjen robben, i was just 2 of his game 1 frm club nd other frm country match, but he play so well exactly de way i want….but wen i watch yesterday match, should i say he is indeed new arjen robben?? bcuz yesterday i confirm he is new ronaldihno very strong, fast, crazy, skillful, pace, shootin, driving, he almost kill marcelo. real no10
I just hope Samuel doesn’t allows the praises got into his head and start loosing focus. That guy is a precocious talent and he was sweet to watch against all mighty Madrid yesterday night.
If you notice, after that his sublime assist to SANTI, Madrid had to draw the attention of CASIMERO AND SERGIO RAMOS In support of MARCELO at their left back in order to cultailing SAMU subsequent threats and that gave the Villarreal Midfielders much room to dominate the midfield that of which eventually culminated to the equalizer.
All the best to Nigerian players home and abroad.
The Savior of Nigerian football has arrived . his name is samu chukwueze. he is the one we have been waiting for. he has arrived. here me and here it well. this is not a joke the king has arrive.kanu, okocha, mikel and now samu chukwueze. He is the real deal.
What a talent, this’s what I’m talking about. Now iheanacho and other pretenders can go and upgrade their games
Iheanacho and others like Success, Kalu, Simon including Onyekuru only needs to continue to improve and reach their potentials. They have nothing to prove to anybody at this stage of their careers. They were all doing fantastically well when they were 19. Onyekuru scored over 20 goals in Belgium when he was 19, Kelechi was scoring goals at will for Man City when he was 19. Success was painting La Liga red with scintillating performances when he was 19. Iwobi was already a first team player at Arsenal when he was 19. The same can be said of Osimhen who is also scoring goals for fun in Belgium at 19. Therefore, Chukwueze is only a member of the conveyor belt of potentials that we have at our disposal. There is also Kingsley Micheal who is doing great at Perugia. Orji Okonkwo of Bologna is not doing bad either. All of them are products of Nigeria U-13 National team. And the SuperEagles can only be better for it.
Haven showered so much praise on Samu, caution must be taken for the obvious reason that Samu is young and human, and all our comments and praise will reach him for consumption. As a human being, Samu, cannot perform 100% all the time due to recession, when that happens, we should endeavour not to loose faith in him as though he’s a flash in the pan.I have said consistently on this platform that no human being can work consistently at the same rate for ever, there is always room for recession so to gather some more energy and return better.
Samu is our jewel,we must guild him jealously just as the English people guild their own with all sentiment.
You took the words straight out of my mouth. God Bless you. He is indeed special and we must get behind him even when he has inevitable off days.
Can’t praise this guy enough. At one point I had to send the match link to my friends to enjoy what I was watching. The guy is good and was unlucky not to have scored. Even when they were 2-1 down Bein sport nominated him and 3 others for the MOTM award. I now understand why some people are opposed to him moving to Arsenal…abeg he should remain in Spain where he can develop and fine tune his skills.
Samuel samu Sam, wow, wow, wow.
Words are scarcely enough to capture those exciting and magical moments from Samuel Chukwueze. It was as though the teenage sensation has been looking for the big moment against Real Madrid to show forth his skills and talents.
He was just a delight on the ball anytime he had the ball, his attacking moves on the right midfield taking on his world class rated markers- Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Modric – with confidence so unusual for a player of his age was just amazing.
At some point in the game, the commentator could not help to compare him to the legendary Arjen Robben. In his words, Samuel was always trying to make something positive out his moves.
It was a great game for the young Samu, who lived up to to the prematch analysis of the game by soccer pundits and the threats that he could pose.
It was also a great feeling back home for many soccer fans watching the game.
Indeed it was a long time we have seen such an eye catching performance from a Nigerian youngster on such a consistent level. Obafemi Martins, perhaps was the player who gave us something brilliant ascthis to cheer about at a top level.

I dare say better year is ahead of Nigeria going to the CAF soccer fiesta -AFCON this year summer with such impressive displays from him and other upcoming stars like Onyekuru, Ike Kalu, Mikel Agu, Osihmen and all.
I’m sure Rohr’s work is cut out for him with the avalanche of players at his disposal.
