Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has said he is open to joining Barcelona this summer’s transfer market.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa’s agent informed Barcelona that the player is ready to join them.
He revealed that the Italian star admires Barcelona’s project, and is open to joining them.
He, however, noted that the deal depends on Barcelona’s decision, which is still studying the options available to it in order to strengthen its attack.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also linked to Chiesa before Friday’s transfer deadline after being made aware of the Juventus forward’s availability, a source has told ESPN.
The Reds have yet to make a signing this summer following Arne Slot’s appointment as head coach following Jürgen Klopp’s exit from Anfield at the end of last season.
Chiesa, whose contract at Juventus expires at the end of this season, has been hit by a series of injuries, including a 10-month cruciate ligament lay-off, since helping Roberto Mancini’s Italy team to success in Euro 2020.
