Chelsea are reportedly looking to hijack Shakhtar Donetsk’s move for Athletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
The Blues watched the midfielder in action against Boca Juniors on Wednesday and the 21-year-old shone with an assist in a 3-0 victory over the Argentine side.
And Chelsea are now being tipped to sign the player, who is capable of playing in both defensive and attacking midfield roles, this summer.
Andre Rizek, a well-respected presenter from SporTV, claims the Blues could soon be adding to the South American contingent.

He said: “Chelsea are impressed with the player and it is possible that this year we will have another Brazilian player going to play in a club in England.” Back in December it was reported that Napoli and Shakhtar Donetsk were vying for the player’s signature.
And the Ukrainian club sent their chief scout to watch Bruno Guimaraes again in March. In the past, Chelsea have signed Nathan, Oscar and Wallace from Brazil, all with varying degrees of success in London.
