Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has kicked against the team’s decision to splash out £95m on Inter Milan striker, Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku, who has become a major transfer target for Chelsea, will be hoping to make a return to the Blues if Inter accepts the mouth-watering cash offered to them.
However, Zola in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, stated that it would be nice to have the Belgian striker at Chelsea but was quick to praise the contributions of Timo Werner to the team despite scoring fewer goals last season.

‘They often created chances, and in some games, they were quite penalised. Lukaku comes in to fill that gap, but I liked Chelsea the way they were.
‘Werner did a dirty job for everyone else, and the reason they won the Champions League is because he put others in a position to do well.
‘I’m curious to see Lukaku, but I liked Chelsea the way they were.’
