Chelsea legend, Glenn Hoddle would love to see Victor Osimhen play in the the Premier League, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen scored for the eighth consecutive game as Napoli defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 encounter at the Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday night.
It was the forward’s 20th goal in 24 outings across all competitions for the Partenopei this season.
The Nigeria international has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks.

Hoddle said the 24-year-old has everything at the moment, urging the striker to make a move to the English Premier League in the summer.
He [Osimhen] has got that pace to go in behind defenders,” Hoddle told BT Sport.
“And he is also good at hold-up play as well, he can hold the ball up. He’s got everything at the moment.
“He is a top, top player. Let’s hope he can just continue, be injury free, and end up in the Premier League. It would be lovely to see him play every other week.”

Personally I would advise Osimhen to stay away from EPL until after he makes a solid name at Real Madrid or PSG by winning UCL. English press only supports their own such as Rashford and co. I’m saying this because you wonder how they’re able to find something against Halaand that has shattered several records just because he doesn’t represent them. Harry Kane and Rashford lost form for months and this press never crucified them but Halaand goes a match or two without scoring and they look for filthy reason to say he makes ManCity worst just to bring him down.
Osimhen must not go to England in a hurry because if he goes a week or two without goals he will be crucified like Halaand and other players who couldn’t bear the British antics, Lukaku is yet to regain confidence after all the torture, Torres became a target after setting Liverpool on fire and next he goes into Oblivion, Eto and Shevy didn’t even last before they went into retirement league, England is like Ghana where you have to be them to escape bad belle.
Aside Drogba who was fortunate to have Mou by his side it is hard to find a non British player that will be loved should he pose a threat to their strikers recognition. I just hope RM and PSG comes in for him should he decide to make the next move and even if he will choose EPL in future let him go to a team that creates chances like ManCity Else he will become a blocking 4 because of his attributes. LMAO!!!
Never use the past to judge the future….. That it didn’t work out for others does not make it impossible for osimhen…… Osimhen is different from all those you mentioned above…… Only Drogba is the striker who is similar to osimhen but With lesser pace……. Osimhen will Excel in any league he finds himself…… Osimhen has always moved and it has always brought out the best in him……. People warned him not to move from Charleroi but he did and made a name for himself at Lille……. people warned him not move from Lille but he did and he made a name for himself in Napoli…….Now it’s time for him to move from Napoli and people have come again with warning……. Osimhen is different….. Osimhen has a very high spirit and desire for success….. Osimhen has pace and power…… osimhen excels under pressure and high expectations…… osimhen loves to be in the limelight…… Osimhen loves it when the fans chants his name….. Osimhen was made for the EPL and it will be a shame if he doesn’t Grace the EPL at this his peak time.
@ Akp read properly what @ Chima is trying to point out. It’s not about Osimene ability to play anywhere but about certain people attitude to others. You will say all of these and disappear when these players suddenly start getting media/silly unreasonable attack from clubs fans n their so called twisted legends attack. You were shouting all over the place about Calvin Bassey. But suddenly since he’s been so so unfairly treated at his club, I have not read a single supportive comment from you.OSIMENE MUST AND I REPEAT MUST STAY CLEAR OF ENGLAND ESPECIALLY MAN UTD FOR NOW. HE NEEDS TO ENJOY HIS FOOTBALL TO THE MAXIMUM WINNING NUMEROUS TROPHIES BOTH INDIVIDUAL N COLLECTIVE BEFORE COMING TO ENGLAND.
@Glory he doesn’t understand the concept, Halaand was scoring goals and the British press started saying he’s scoring tap ins that is why he’s breaking records. The moment he went on goal strike for two matches they started saying he’s at the wrong club Carragher and Neville are the gang leader of this useless talks. Kane and Rashford are hailed for scoring streaks but others are downplayed as tap ins or robot. I wonder what they’ll call Osimhen. Before they had Drogba’s time he had already exploded unlike Halaand and Nunez who came in with recognitions from Dortmund and Benfica unlike Drogba from less fancied Marseille. Nobody is wishing anyone bad but English press are opposition to other race. I understand that we have a lot of English team fans in Nigeria but It is not everything that we will argue, Osimhen is free to decide since he’s an Adult.
The English media is not supportive of foreigners, especially non-European foreigners. Drogba was successful at Chelsea but Chelsea at the time was a Russian-controlled team. Its former owner Abramovich was very supportive of African players.
Compare how many such players made successful careers at Chelsea to how many at other top premiership clubs such as ManU. Today, English football fans complain that Patrick Viera is turning Crystal Palace into an African team. Mark my words, should Crystal Palace suffer any prolonged dip in form, Viera would be sacked without the sort of forbearance that they’ve extended to English managers like Lampard and Potter.
Not that I blame them, after all, it’s their league in their own country. But it is important that Nigerian players wishing to play in the Premier league understand this, and go there with their eyes open.
Look at how Iheanacho behaves, if Nacho is in front of an empty goal and sees an English player(Vardy, Barnes, Maddison) by his side, he prefers to pass to them than score; it is as if he is currying favor from them, and that comes from dressing room politics. The English players (and English manager) have made it clear to Iheanacho that he is subordinate to them, and sadly Iheanacho – rather than move elsewhere, has accepted that subordination. Nacho prefers to count his salary rather than his playing time.
Look at Awoniyi, Dennis, soon to be joined by Onuachu. Dennis basically sleeps on the bench. Awoniyi will find it hard to get a starting shirt when he returns from injury as the team results have improved in his absense. Onuachu need only cast a glance at Aribo, who does not even make the bench.
Nigerian players have consistently performed in all European leagues but the premiership. The question is why are they able to perform well at the Italian, Spanish, German, Dutch, Belgian, Danish, Norwegian, Turkish leagues and fail so spectacularly in the premier league? Is it them or is it the league? I am one of many that say it is the league.
Run from EPL at all cost Osimhen
