Chelsea got their 2020/2021 Premier League season off to a perfect start as they beat Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 at the Amex on Monday night.
The win means Chelsea have become just the third team in Premier League history after Manchester United (2,234) & Arsenal (2,014) to win 2,000 points.
Blues boss Frank Lampard handed debuts for summer signings Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

Chelsea took the lead in the 23rd minutes as Jorginho converted from the penalty spot after Mat Ryan fouled Timo Werner inside the box.
Nine minutes into the second half Brighton equalised thanks to Leandro Trossard who found the bottom corner from outside the penalty area.
Chelsea retook the lead almost immediately in the 56th minute off a sensational Reece James strike to put the Blues 2-1 ahead.
In the 66th minute the Blues extended their lead as Kurt Zouma’s touch from a corner was deflected into the net.
Chelsea now occupy the third position behind leaders Arsenal and second placed Leicester City.
Up next for Chelsea is a tough clash against champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
