Eric Chelle has said he couldn’t reject the chance to manage the Super Eagles of Nigeria, reports Completesports.com.
The former defender was named substantive head coach of the three-time African champions this week.
Chelle has accepted to leave his role as head coach of Algerian club, MC Oran to lead the Super Eagles.

The 47-year-old managed MC Oran for the last time in an Algeria Cup clash against ES Setif on Saturday.
MC Oran won the keenly contested encounter 1-0.
”I thank the Hamraoua fans, the inhabitants of Oran and all Algerians for their welcome and their support. The MCO will always have a special place in my heart,” Chelle said during his interaction with the media after the game.
“This is my last meeting with you and it marks the end of my adventure here. From Monday, I will be in Nigeria to start a new chapter. The MCO officials insisted that I continue, but one cannot refuse to lead the one of the best teams in Africa and the world.”

You are welcome Eric
You are welcome my coach
You are welcome sir
Smart Nigerians love and wish you the best.
You are highly welcome to Nigeria, the most populous black nation on planet earth.
Shame to all ex-internationals condemning your appointment but could not condemn Finidi George and Austin Eguaveon poor handling of the Super Eagles.
Our new Naija Coach, ride us to success. We dey your back kampe.
He was obviously the cheapest foreign option.
The deal is bad and if they don’t pay him on time he can walk and we’ll be back to square one with Eguavon. This guy Who failed at the Mali national team is now given the Nigeria national team; we’re deceiving ourselves.
Sir his the best tell me one Nigerian coach that can stand him, when he was the coach of Mali they played good football if is not good why were the players of Mali saying they want him back as their coach I give kudos to the nff
@Ebubedike, are you for real? Did I hear you say ‘he failed the Malian national team’? If winning 14 matches, drawing 5 and losing just 3 matches in 22 outings as the head coach of the Malian national team is what you call ‘failure’, then such is highly welcome here in Nigeria!
These guys are dons so you shouldn’t be surprised if they see him as failure. I will not be surprised if Egungu doctor is hiding behind those name because he was always against his appointment. Shame don kill am finish so he is resorting into dirty tactics on CS.
Nigeria, a nation blessed with huge football talents.
My comment is not always displayed on the platform and i dont know why but anyway, SE new coach will succeed and take SE to greater height. We might not qualify for the world cup but notwithstanding, it will end in praise.
