Former international, Victor Ikpeba has said it is important for the home-based Super Eagles to secure a place at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The Home Eagles are battling to secure a place in the biennial competition after missing out two years ago in Algeria.
They are in a good position to secure a place at CHAN 2024 after holding the Black Galaxies of Ghana to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the qualifying tie last weekend.
The reverse fixture will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.

Ikpeba challenged the players to go all out and beat the Ghanaians.
“The CHAN Eagles must fight because this is one game that Ghana do not want to lose,” Ikpeba said on SuperSport TV programme Monday Night Football.
“We all remember what happened with the Super Eagles with the same Ghana for the 2022 World Cup.
“This is a big chance for the league and home-based players to show what they are capable of.
“Many of us have had our reservations about the players in the NPFL particularly going by their performance on the continent.”
