Championship club Cardiff City are interested in Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke.
According to WalesOnline reporter Glen Williams, Cardiff are believed to be “working hard” on a deal for CSKA Moscow winger Ejuke on a one-year temporary contract.
Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, FIFA have provided leeway to players in the country, many of whom have either suspended or terminated their contracts.
And Cardiff are hoping that Ejuke, who suspended his own deal at current club CSKA Moscow to join Hertha Berlin last summer, can be acquired by these means given the present state of play on the transfer front.
The Welsh side are still currently under transfer embargo following the lengthy court case with French side Nantes regarding payment for late Argentine Emiliano Sala.
Also, while they have managed to overturn an initial three-window ban into one that will be lifted come January, as things stand, they are still unable to administer fees for any prospective signings.

Ejuke joined Norwegian outfit Valerenga in March 2017, where he scored 14 times from 65 outings to attract suitors elsewhere.
Heerenveen came calling two years later and Ejuke lit up the Eredivisie in his only season with the club by scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
That form earned a switch to CSKA Moscow bagging 10 goals and eight assists from just over 60 appearances.
However, Ejuke’s spell with Hertha Berlin did not go to plan as they were relegated.

Why not Serie A or Ligue 1…..
Ejuke would do well in England. It’d be easier for him to attract more interest and take his game to the next level in England. Congratulations bro
Looking forward to hearing of your exploits on pitch again
This is a very big insult. Other African players are upwards. For example Onana from inter to Many, Felix from Senegal, virreal to Chelsea. What are Nigeria players not doing right that big teams are averse to signing them . Imagine a player as talented as Ejuke to Cardiff , a relegation fighter in second Division. O lord save us.
Nigeria players are not winning trophies in Africa anymore. After Keshi who don win am again? The German fraud Rohr just came like a pretender and ended up falling prey to NFF and became their coach agent using DW to make money marketing their players. If you don’t win big trophies such as Afcon or for your clubsides, big clubs will not come for you. They only scout champions. Why do you think they call Madrid home to Galaticos, only Osimhen can play for Madrid for this full country called Nigeria. The other players are not wining local and club trophies a lot of them will be sent to turkey just dey watch now. Until Nigeria hires a smart coach before we will unearth and use technical players. Until then it’s Business as usual for NFF. NFF that can not search for money to run the teams or pay bonuses. This is a clueless and corrupt NFF president, his level of illiteracy is next to non yet he’s the one leading Nigerian Football. We don’t know the meaning of Football anymore in Nigeria. Once you add corruption to anything it doesn’t Favor you anymore!!!
In Nigeria I have witnessed how much talents are wasted when it comes to football and nonsense average bribe payers are given opportunities countless times. Poor talented players are left to rotten and never given opportunity to make it in life through football. Whoever is talented and doesn’t have a battle in him to make his light shine will lavish in Onitsha market as a butcher. If we have a solid national team coach that can discover players like Manu Garba was doing before he was sacked and never given a job again. If we have title winning coaches at all national team starting from u15 using Remo u15 coach to Manu Garba for u17, Amuneke u20 and Mosiame of South Africa as the national team coach every Big teams will search for Nigeria players. NFF will cash in from sponsors because winning coaches changes everything. All the coaches I have named above have won solid trophies at each category of where I’ve named them. I will also patiently await the return of Siasia 2024.
The German fraud Rohr….wow, harsh words indeed!
Perhaps you need to consult the dictionary for the meaning of the word fraud.
If you want to wear designer clothes, wetin you dey find for Oshodi or Okrika? No be for boutique you go find am?
Rohr no be designer coach. No be Guardiola or Klopp, or Pochettino. The paltry $45,000 per month he was earning is small change to these elite coaches. Yet, NFF was owing him almost a year’s worth of salaries!
In spite of all the distractions and problems, which you yourself correctly acknowledged, Rohr still delivered his targets! If you buy Okrika and expect it to perform like boutique, THE JOKE IS ON YOU.
NFF did their due diligence. They were looking at Paul Le Guen, I believe Laurent Blanc, and other higher cadre coaches. NFF balked at paying the salaries these coaches demanded, and so settled for Okrika.
We bought Okrika, and Okrika did well for us, much better than we deserved.
Okrika beat Argentina 4-2 in a friendly, drew 1-1 with Brazil, beat Lewandowski and Poland 1-0 at their home turf, got us a bronze medal in his first and only Afcon, beat our arch rivals and feared opponents Cameroon 4-0 at Uyo! Almost beat them again in Cameroon. Repeatedly qualified us for tournaments with games to spare. OKRIKA NO TRY?
Yes, Okrika also made some mistakes. The 2-0 loss to Madagascar, the loss at home to CAR, the 4-4 draw with SL, the loss to Argentina at the world cup, a game we should have managed better, and could have drawn to qualify for the next round.
But Okrika na Okrika. These mistakes were always a possibility, given the level of the coach. The blame lies on NFF, who hired him, not on Rohr. He did not hire himself.
In spite of all that, Okrika still delivered his targets.
Rohr did his best, given the circumstances. We can’t expect perfection from a coach we were not even paying, a coach who we should not have hired in the first place if we were focused on getting only the best quality.
Gbam!
NFF have to stop hiring average coaches and expecting above average results.
As far as NFF is concerned, NA MUMU DEY GO BOUTIQUE. What NFF failed to realize is that although the above average coach will cost a lot more money, he will also build a solid team, and more importantly, he will offer us a tactical advantage when we meet well coached, organized opponents. We have talented players, for the most part. They just need an above average coach. Once we get one, the results will come. Consistent results. But if we continue to settle for Okrika, then we have to accept whatever we get.
We were fortunate with Rohr. Sometimes you go to Okrika, and you get quality that is not usually found at Okrika. We were paying Rohr Okrika money, and even owing him for almost a year. WE HAD NO RIGHT TO EXPECT ABOVE AVERAGE RESULTS, BUT HE GOT THEM FOR US. How can you fault him?
In business, you spend money to make money. Football is no different.
Well said @pompei
It’s disheartened the way Nigeria football governing body has been messed up by corrupt and politicians that don’t have interest of Nigeria football at heart but after position and money.
May God save this country.
