Wigan Athletic manager Paul Cook has confirmed Leon Balogun is fit for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Blackburn Rivers at the DW Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
The centre-back missed last weekend’s 2-0 away win against Huddersfield Town due to injury.
The Nigerian international, who extended his stay with Latics on Thursday featured in a practice match against Fleetwood Town at the DW Stadium on Tuesday, alongside Jamie Jones, Jensen Weir, Kal Naismith, Tom Pearce, Lewis Macleod, Lee Evans, Jan Mlakar, Joe Gelhardt, Michael Jacobs, Alex Dobre, Joe Garner and U23 squad members Emeka Obi, Olly Crankshaw and Divin Baningime.

“Leon Balogun is fit now. We’ve also got Gary Roberts who felt something in his calf and Gavin Massey who is in the real late stages of coming back,”Cook stated during his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon.
“The reality going into the Blackburn game and going into a tough week is that we’ve got a good squad, strong people to pick from and they’re all champing at the bit, which is great for me.
Balogun, who arrived Wigan on loan from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion in January has featured in six league games for the club.
