Ex-Wolves goalkeeper Mike Stowell believes his former employers can achieve a top-four finish next season. Wolves were the surprise package of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign as they finished seventh on their return to England’s top flight, while they also made it to the FA Cup semi-finals Nuno Espirito Santo, who has been linked with the vacant AC Milan post, has done a fantastic job with the Black Country outfit and he will be hoping to continue the club’s progression next season.
Stowell, who played at Molineux from 1990-2001 and made over 370 appearances, is setting the bar high and believes there is no reason his former club can’t get into the Champions League places. He was quoted as saying by the Shropshire Star: “They’ve been one of the best against the bigger teams, so if they can sort it out against [the struggling sides], they can be a top-four team – Champions League. It’s absolutely reasonable.”
