Here are the rules for the comeback of your European Fantasy Leagues, Champions and Europa, starting on the 5th of August.
The following announcement clarifies how Champions Fantasy and Europa Fantasy will be resumed, with the return of the Champions League knockout stages scheduled for the 7th of August and Europa League on the 5th of August.
With national leagues coming to a close, continental competitions are finally back, bringing with them your favorite Fantasy Leagues about european club competitions.
Champions Fantasy
Starting with Champions Fantasy, due to the unexpected stop of play in March, there is still an ongoing gameweek (GW8) with 4 games left to play: Juventus-Lyon, Manchester City-Real Madrid, Bayern-Chelsea and Barcelona-Napoli. For these games, your team is already set and you can make manual substitutions, change captain, you know the drill. When these games are finished, we’ll do the math and close out GW8.
Gameweek 9 marks the “true” restart of the competition, and we have decided, like in other leagues, to resume it by giving an extra Wildcard to all users, for exclusive use in Gameweek 9. That is exactly it: “exclusive use in Gameweek 9”. So, if by any reason you decide not to use it, it will not be available for you in the future.
Whoever had activated their Wildcard for GW9, gets to put it back in their pocket, so they can use it further up the road and those who already had hit points for extra transfers in GW9, have seen those points be eliminated with the Wildcard being given. Plain and simple. Quick and easy.
Given the restructuring of the schedule (quarter-finals and semi-finals with only one leg), the competition now has 11 gameweeks instead of 13. With this, and rather than giving you 8 transfers for the 1st leg and 2 transfers for the 2nd leg, you’ll have 10 transfers each round, with the possibility of saving 1 free transfer for the final.
A quick review:
— Gameweek 8 is still ongoing, you can do manual subs and change captains;
— Gameweek 9 has a wildcard for all users, for exclusive use in that round;
— Gameweek 10, referring to the semi-finals, with 10 free transfers;
— Gameweek 11, referring to the final, with 10 free transfers and 1 that you might have saved in the semi-finals.
Europa Fantasy
Gameweek 9 was almost completed when 2 games were postponed, at the time, and then cancelled afterwards. This way, the pairings Inter-Getafe and Sevilla-Roma will play their Round of 16 face-offs in just a single game, with the games being part of Gameweek 10.
This way, Gameweek 10 sets the restart of the Europa Fantasy and, once again, our decision is to kick it off by giving everyone an extra Wildcard, for exclusive use in Gameweek 10.
With the given Wildcard, the fantasy will run like the Champions Fantasy: if you had activated your Wildcard, you get it back, if you had hitpoints for extra transfers, they will be dropped. Easy.
With the redesign of the knockout stages (quarter-finals and semi-finals with only one leg as well), the competition now has 13 gameweeks instead of 15. Europa Fantasy will work the same way regarding transfers, so you’ll have 10 transfers each round, with the possibility of saving 1 free transfer for the next rounds.
A quick review:
— Gameweek 9 is done and in the books;
— Gameweek 10 has a wildcard for all users, for exclusive use in that round;
— Gameweek 11, referring to the quarter-finals, with 10 free transfers;
— Gameweek 12, referring to the semi-finals, with 10 free transfers and 1 that you might have saved before;
— Gameweek 13, referring to the final, with 10 free transfers and 1 that you might have saved in the semi-finals.
As we have announced in March, Champions Fantasy and Europa Fantasy would be on stand-by until everything was decided by UEFA, without any negative repercussions for your teams and their scores.
Our commitment has always been to make RealFevr the best fantasy platform around the universe and the flexibility and ability to implement what is fair and what makes sense, are characteristics that set us apart from the rest and keep us on the right path.
Just because football is back don’t think that we’ll stop warning you to: sneeze or cough into your elbow (as if you were doing a Pogba dab, but with less style) and try to maintain the same social distance to others as a slow centre-half keeps to Messi.
Now that you know everything about the restart of these competitions, don’t forget the most important deadlines:
– 7pm of August 5 (GMT) to use the Wildcard given for Europa Fantasy and get your team ready for the final 4 rounds;
– 8pm of August 7 (GMT) to freshen up your Champions Fantasy GW8 squad;
– 7pm of August 12 (GMT) to add players, remove players, reset your team, everything in your power to prepare the best team possible to attack the last 3 rounds of Champions Fantasy.
Good luck,
The RealFevr team
