Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has joined Spanish club, CD Leganes on a year loan deal from Portuguese Primeira Liga side, FC Porto, Completesports.com reports.
Awaziem who will wear jersey number 12 at the club will start training with his new teammates on Friday.
The 22-year-old is now the second Nigerian at Leganes. Kenneth Omeruo had a loan stint at the club last term, but signed a five-year contract this week following his permanent transfer from Chelsea.
Awaziem linked up with Porto in the 2014/15 season from the El-Kanemi Warriors Academy in Nigeria and made his debut in January 2016.
The versatile defender made 13 appearances for Porto and scored once.
He previously spent time on loan at French club, Nantes and Turkish outfit, Caykur Rizespor.
