Nico Vaesen, agent of Wolfsburg keeper Koen Casteels, says his client is being watched “intensively” by clubs across Europe.
Former Belgium Under-21 international Casteels has been with the German outfit since 2015 and his impressive form this season has really caught the eye of some of Europe’s big boys.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper has kept six Bundesliga clean sheets this term, leaving him third in the league’s statistics alongside Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer and Borussia Dortmund’s Roman Burki.
Wolfsburg are enjoying a decent campaign – they have climbed into sixth position – but the club are bracing themselves for a summer of interest in their Bonheiden-born keeper.
Speaking about Casteels’ future at the Volkswagen Arena, Vaesen revealed there are teams sniffing around and a move “would be the logical next step”.
He told Kicker: “We’ll have a calm look at what’s on the table in the summer. We know some clubs are watching him intensively – that’s normal.”
