Paul Casey believes a positive brand of play will give him the best chance of glory at this week’s US Masters.
The Englishman heads to Augusta in good form after last month becoming the first player to successfully defend his title at the Valspar Championship.
Casey has played well in the past in Georgia, recording five top 10s and his ability to drive the ball long and straight undoubtedly gives him an advantage.
At 41, he also knows his limitations when it comes to going up against the world’s best players such as Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.

Ahead of his 13th shot at trying to win the Green Jacket, the four-time Ryder Cup veteran says he is ready to go out on the attack, as he feels a positive approach will give him the best chance of finishing top of the leaderboard on Sunday. “Rory and Dustin and these guys, they have more than me,” he said. “They’re the ultimate guys right now.
If they play their best golf, I’m not sure I can beat them, so I’ve got to try and play them at their own game, and that means being aggressive because conservative play, if I’m not making enough birdies, leaves me no chance.”
