Ethan Nwaneri has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Match in the Carabao Cup Round 4 tie at Preston North End on Wednesday.
Arsenal announced Nwaneri as their Player of the Match on their X handle on Thursday.
Nwaneri continued his impressive scoring form for the Gunners in the Cup competition by netting one of the goals in the 3-0 win against Preston.
The 17-year-old bent in a superb curler from outside the box to put Arsenal 2-0 up in the first half, after Gabriel Jesus had broken the deadlock.
It was another stand-out Carabao Cup performance from the academy product, who got his first senior goals with a brace in Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Bolton in the previous round.
He was thrown into the action by Mikel Arteta in last weekend’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at the Emirates and didn’t look out of place.
