Norwich are reportedly set to reward Ben Godfrey with a new contract to ward off interest from elsewhere. The England Under-20 international enjoyed a breakthrough season at Carrow Road last term, featuring 31 times as the Canaries won the Championship title and ended their three-year absence from the top flight.
Godfrey only signed a new three-year contract with Norwich last summer but his form in Championship has seemingly not gone unnoticed, with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Lyon all reportedly showing an interest.
Norwich are keen to keep hold of the 21-year-old, who is believed to be valued at around £20million, and reports are suggesting they are set to offer him a bumper new five-year contract to remain at the club until the summer of 2024.
Godfrey, who spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Shrewsbury in League One and can also operate in midfield, will be hoping to get his first taste of Premier League football when Daniel Farke’s side travel to Anfield on the opening day of the season to take on Liverpool.
