Wolves’ reported pursuit of Rafael Camacho has been given a boost after the Liverpool youngster questioned his role with the Reds. Portugal Under-18 international Camacho was handed his senior debut for the Reds this season in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolves in January and he looked lively playing in the right-back position.

However, although earning a decent review from his performance, it was a slight surprise to see the 18-year-old deployed at the back as he has been in impressive form when playing up front for the Under-23’s this term. The Lisbon-born star, who arrived at Anfield in 2016, has scored eight goals from 13 Premier League 2 appearances and three of those came in the 6-0 thumping of Leicester City on Sunday.
Wolves are reportedly interested in acquiring Camacho’s services and the Black Country outfit will be feeling confident of wrapping up a deal following the recent comments made by the Liverpool starlet. The Portuguese posted on Instagram: “I do not know whose idea it is, but I will prove that they are mistaken about my football. I’m not a right defender. I’m an attacker who scores goals. This is my DNA. “Happy to score 3 goals and help the team in today’s win vs Leicester.”
