Edo Queens duo, Cordeila Odoma and Emem Essien have been included in the Group Stage Best X1 at the ongoing 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The selection was compiled by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG).
Odoma is a right-back, while Essien is a centre-forward.
AS FAR shot stopper Khadija ER-Rmichi, with just one concession in the group stages, rightfully earns the goalkeeper position.

Nouhaila Benzina of AS FAR, alongside Shadia Nankya of FC Masar, make up the centre-back pairing. Karabo Dhlamini of Mamelodi Sundowns takes her spot on the left-back position.
UWC’s highly experienced Amogelang Motau anchors the midfield, just behind the attacking pair of AS FAR’s Sanaa Mssoudy and Sandrine Niyonkuru of FC Masar.
AS FAR teenage star, Doha El Madani as well as Lacho Marta of TP Mazembe completes the list.
Edo Queens will take on TP Mazembe in the competition’s first semi-final on Tuesday (today).
Hosts AS FAR will do battle with Egypt’s FC Masar in the other semis.
