Enyimba got off their CAF Champions League campaign to a perfect start with a 1-0 away win against Burkinabe side Rahimo FC at the August 4 Stadium, Ouagadougou on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Substitute Victor Mbaoma scored the decisive goal 14 minutes from time.
The striker’s header from Anayo Iwuala’s corner -kick hit the woodwork and went straight into the net.
The reverse fixture will take place next week Sunday at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
In Jos, Nigeria’s other representative in the competition Plateau United lost 1-0 to Tanzanian champions Simba SC.
Clatous Chama netted the winning goal for the visitors in the 53rd minute.
Plateau United will need to scored twice without conceding in the second leg to secure a place in the first round.

Enyimba has the best legs in Nigeria.. Their scouting network is always the best…players like iwuala anayo,v.mbaoma,Austin oladapo are very good players ..especially that anayo …the guy is a master dribbler…oladapo is very good with free kick’s
Those enyimba players you mentioned and those elsewhere within the country have huge raw talents and with potentials to bring us great delightful moment in eagle’s color but I’m afraid that will remain only a dream as long as you have this coach who sings to the glory of Europe and have obviously a complex anything good can come from a place other than his root continent,then we will never realise the dream of seeing the potential of this players materialise.Brazil used their homes Stars so it attracted scouts to their leagues.but we have the regime of a coach who just don’t want to give them a chance.
Super eagles will never improve if GR continue as the coach.
