Cyril Olisema scored the decisive goal as Enyimba beat Rivers United 1-0 in their CAF Confederation Cup playoff fixture in Aba on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
The game was held up for several minutes as a result of heavy downpour after just nine minutes of action.
Olisema netted the winning goal a minute before the hour mark.

Enyimba played the last 15 minutes of the game with 10-men after Tosin Omoyele was sent off.
The return leg will take place next weekend in Port Harcourt.
The overall winners will advance into the group stage of the competition.

I would have preferred Rivers scale through because they play more purposeful football than Eyinmba getting to this point they would be a better flag bearer on the continental stage than Enyinmba who always play with complacency like they have arrived whilst rivers are showing a glimpse of hunger for continental silverware than their NPFL counterpart just an observation brothers I stand to be corrected please
