Enyimba FC will be counting on the experience and intelligence of Anayo Iwuala as the team face a difficult test against Al Ahly Benghazi in today’s CAF Confederations Cup at the Martyrs of February Stadium.
The Aba Boys are currently sitting second on the table with six points and will be hoping to pick an appreciable result that will aid the team’s chances of qualifying to the knockout stages of the competition.
The game, which was earlier scheduled to hold Wednesday, was later moved to Thursday (today) after Enyimba initially found it difficult to secure a flight to Libya.
However, they will be banking on Iwuala, who was outstanding while playing for the Super Eagles in the just concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, to use his creative instinct, dazzling skills, and pace to break down Al Ahly Benghazi.
Recall that Iwuala’s brilliant dribble and perfect pass allowed Tosin Omoyele to score and earn Enyimba of Nigeria a 2-1 win over Entente Setif of Algeria.
Iwuala, 22, has been capped twice by Nigeria and considered a rising star who will soon be on the radar of European club scouts.
