CAF Women’s Player Of The Year Nominee Banda Named NWSL Best Player Of Season

Orlando Pride and Zambia’s Barbra Banda was named the US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Championship Most Valuable Player of the season.

The NWSL announced Banda the winner on the final day of the season after Orlando Pride we’re crowned league champions for the first time in their history.

Banda ended the league campaign with 17 goals in 25 games for Orlando Pride.

She netted the only goal in the 1-0 win against Washington Spirits on the final day of the season (Sunday).

The 24-year-old is in the running for the 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.

She will battle for the award with Super Falcons duo Chiamaka Nnadozie, Rasheedat Ajibade and seven other nominees.
