Former Nigerian international Ifeanyi Udeze has expressed delight with Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman after he was crowned the African Player of the Year in Morocco.
The Nigerian international saw off competition from Ivory Coast’s Simon Adingra, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, and South Africa’s Ronwen Williams.
Lookman is the second consecutive Nigerian to claim the award after Victor Osimhen in 2023.

Congratulations bro! As a Nigerian, I strongly believe that you will be of good behaviour out there as a role model and public figure and you will use this award to redeem us from the shame and embarrassment that osimhen brought on it throughout his reign….
No be this Udeze talk say he had an insider at CAF who told him Hakimi won? Nawa o
All these ex internationals. Na so so okpata dem sabi yarn.
Empty barrels making ridiculous noises.
They should look at how ex internationals behave in other countries (England and Germany are good examples), and adjust their behavior accordingly. And for God’s sake, if they don’t have the coaching badges and tactical knowledge, they should please distance themselves from national team coaching jobs. If they want the job, go and get the necessary qualifications and skills.
EMILOKAN appointments of coaches for our national teams is not working. Let’s switch to merit based appointments now!
