This is the height of embarrassment and it’squiteunfortunate. Most nations have put in so much in preparation toward the competition. And we the fans have been waiting in anticipation to watch our home eagles display their class. I am very sure by August most of the guys in this CHAN team would have moved to clubs abroad and others would have dropped form.
No more CHAN adventure for Chelle. I had hoped he would use the Home Eagles as a dress rehearsal for the main job.
Now he should be 100% focused on the upcoming world cup qualifiers. Look home and abroad at in-form players and select the best. And instead of working with Eguavoen, why not let Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu understudy Chelle? Why Eguavoen again? Is his job as the Technical Director not enough to keep him occupied? Besides, having him work with Chelle is strange indeed. He is Chelle’s boss. How can he be working under Chelle? Conflict of interest out the wazoo.
Let Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu work under Chelle, along with the assistants he brought from his former Algerian club. That should be enough.
