Rivers United started their group stage campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup on an impressive note following a 3-0 victory against Academia do Lobito of Angola in Uyo on Sunday night.
Stanley Eguma’s side took the lead through Samuel Antwi on three minutes with Paul Odeh providing the assist.
Odeh scored the second two minutes after the break.

The hosts put the game beyond the visitors with Shedrack Asiegbu netting the third on the hour mark.
In the other Group C game, Club Africain of Tunisia defeated Ghana’s Dreams FC 2-0.
Rivers United occupy top spot in the group on goal difference.
The Port Harcourt club will face Dreams FC in their next game at the Cape Coast Stadium next week Sunday.
