Hosts Etoile Filante and Enyimba battled to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round contest on Friday.
The two teams failed to register a goal in the keenly contested encounter despite creating a number of chances.
Enyimba also put up a resolute display at the back to ensure they leave Bamako without conceding a goal.
The two-time African champions must however secure a win in the second leg to progress further in the competition.
The reverse fixture is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday, September 22.
Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, El-kanemi Warriors were eliminated in the first round by Beninoise club, Dadje FC.
