A club from Mozambique o. Beating a Nigerian club 3 – 0. It is finished!
Chai! Who do NPFL teams this strong thing!!??
Oh, the days of yore of 2003/04 when Enyimba won back-to-back CAF Champions League with Enyeama, Nwaneri, Ekene Ezenwa, David Tyakase, Mohammed Yusuf, and the Ghanaian Joetex Frimpong.
Now e remain for clubs from Lesotho, Eswatini, and Eritrea to start beating them. Just shameful watching NPFL teams in CAF competitions.
The only current exceptions on current form are maybe Remo Stars, Rivers United, and Kano Pillar. At least those ones can still put up a small fight before crashing out at QF.
This is the new era we are seeing in Nigeria.
An era where everyone is comfortable with Rwanda beating Nigeria at home in an Afcon qualifier. Some even argue that the result is ok, since it was a “dead rubber” game.
No shock, anger or even trepidation that a Nigerian team can lose at home to a team ranked far below them in the FIFA rankings!
I don’t care how many of our regulars were unavailable. It’s still Nigeria that was beaten by Rwanda at home that day.
So it’s not a shock these days when Nigerian teams lose to so called minnows.
NFF, unu well done ooo! E te pa mo ise ooo!
An era of doom and woe for Nigerian football courtesy of the usual suspects(NFF)indeed.
I wonder why the Nigerian public has rather softened towards these results cos I remember what the attitude was like back in the day when we would draw against Benin rep. Or even lose to Ghana.
Mathematical Odegbami is no more complaining about our football. At least we are falling steadily with our own.
