Brown Ideye has moved on from Enyimba’s group stage ouster from the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Elephants lost 3-1 to Zamalek in their final Group D game on Sunday.
It was their third defeat in six games which saw them finish in third place.
Ideye who was in action for Enyimba against the Egyptian giants wrote on X:”Unto the next one…”
Enyimba needed a win and hoped Al Masry fail to beat Black Bulls Maputo in the group’s other game.
But it was Zamalek who took the lead in the 29th minute through Mostafa Shalaby, while Seifeddine Jaziri made it 2-0 on 48 minutes.
In the 57th minute Ifeanyi Ihemekwele pulled a goal back for Enyimba.
Any hope of a possible comeback was quashed as Jaziri grabbed his second goal on 87 minutes to make it 3-1 in favour of Zamalek.
Both Zamalek and Al Masry progressed into the quarter-finals on 14 and nine points respectively, while Enyimba and Black Bulls Maputo crashed out.
