Former Nigerian international, Victor Ikpeba has warned Rivers United to step up the standard of their game if they are to make any meaning impact in the quarters-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Recall that Rivers United secured a place in the quarter-finals after a nervy 2-1 win against Dreams FC of Ghana in Uyo on Sunday.
Rivers United topped Group C with 12 points on head-to-head, the same points as Dreams FC, while Club Africain bowed out of the tournament, after a 1-1 draw with Academica of Angola to finish third with 10 points.

However, in a chat with Monday Night Football on Super Sports, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist stated that Rivers United have lots of work to do if they are to beat their opponent in he quarter finals.
“Rivers United must step up in their next game if they are to do well in the quarter finals.
“For sure, the quarter finals won’t come easy for Rivers United and they must do their home very well. There should be no room for errors at this stages of the tournament.”
