Burnley are considering a move for Bristol City ace Adam Webster, according to reports. The 24-year-old is attracting plenty of attention after making a number of eye-catching performances in the Championship last season. Webster made 44 appearances in the second tier as the Robins missed out on the play-offs under coach Lee Johnson.

The centre-back won the club’s player of the year award for 2018/19 but Burnley face competition for his signature. Southampton, Newcastle, Watford and the Clarets have all made enquiries about Webster but Burnley are getting plans in place in case they lose James Tarkowski.
A number of Premier League clubs are planning talks with Tarkowski’s representatives but Burnley are happy to view Webster as a backup to the England international and Ben Mee.
