Former Nigeria international Anthony Ujah’s struggles in front of goal continues as he fired blanks in Union Berlin’s 4-1 away defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach, in Sunday’s Bundesliga game, Completesports.com reports.
Ujah who made his 18th Bundesliga appearance was introduced with 10 minutes left to play.
With just two goals for Union Berlin in the league this season, Ujah last found the back of the net in November 2019 in a 2-0 home win against Mönchengladbach.
In Sunday’s game, Mönchengladbach took the lead in the 17th minute through Florian Neuhaus before Marcus Thuram made it 2-0 on 41 minutes.

Sebastian Andersson reduced the deficit when he scored on 50 minutes to make it 2-1.
Just nine minutes after Andersson’s goal, Thuram got his second of the game when he struck to put Mönchengladbach 3-1 up.
And in the 81st minute Alassane Plea added the fourth goal to give the home team the win.
Union Berlin now occupy 14th position on 31 points, four points above the relegation play-off spot.
While for Mönchengladbach they move up to third on 56 points and are 11 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
