Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka was in action as Augsburg played out a 1-1 draw against St. Pauli in Saturday’s Bundesliga game.
The Nigerian international, who was making his 17th appearance, has bagged one assist in the ongoing season for Augsburg.
He was susbstituted in the 70th minute for Mert Komur after an impressive display.

However, St. Pauli started the match with intent, dominating possession and creating several chances. Their efforts were rewarded in the 17th minute when Philipp Treu forced an own-goal from Augsburg’s Noahkai Banks.
Just as it seemed St. Pauli might hold on for a third consecutive win, Augsburg found an equaliser in spectacular fashion.
In the 83rd minute, substitute Mert Kömür, who had been brought on in the 70th minute, unleashed a stunning volley from Giannoulis’s cross, beating Nikola Vasilj at his near post.
