Awoniyi is far better than Victor Osimhen.
Doc, your statement is Sacrilege!! Osimhen is on another level ooo. Do you know Osimhen is the current top scorer in the AFCON qualifiers after playing only 3 games? Abeg. For me Awoniyi would definitely be 2nd to Osimhen. I think he’s the best of the rest on current form, then Dessers would be 3rd.
Hehehehe, make unu no too vex for Dr Oderinde ooo! Na joke the guy dey joke.
Look at his name. Koyemi in yoruba means I DON’T UNDERSTAND. Oderinde has some possible meanings, one of them is THE FOOL HAS ARRIVED.
Awoniyi is trying sha. He’s been doing well of late. Let’s hope that trend continues.
Also wish Osimhen a speedy recovery from his injury.
Haha hahaha!!!!!
Taiwo is doing very well for himself at the moment. Scoring at this rate in a top league puts him in good stead for a Super Eagles invite.
I’m afraid, he may take Onuachu’s place.
I feel awoniyi has found a team that suits him, a style of play that allows him play to his strengths and confidence that every player needs. The coach seems to trust in his abilities and since he’s getting regular football I don’t see why he wont score more goals this season.
I just hope he remains consistent which is very important.
He is in a very good league one of the best in the world. If he can perform well on a regular bases in the bundesliga then the next step will be to battle for a spot in the Super eagles team.
Irrespective of the number of goals he scores, if he continues to play regularly, Awoniyi is a sure bet for the next SE invitation. 4 goals, a penalty and an assist in the last 6 Bundesliga games is no fluke.
It is no brainer, A player that showed up against European Champions Bayern, star studded Dortmund and Stuttgart will always be considered ahead of undeperforming ones.
Awoniyi my old lover, i use to follow this guy with alot of love, Expecially after the u20 wcup, he was to me what osihmen is to me presently; unfortunately things wasnt working well for him, to be honest i lost hope for my guy, similar situation with nwakali who is having hard times presently, as for Awoniyi i think its time to renew our friendship again and i hope it last long this time, meaning he have to keep banging in goals and making headlines, i am very happy to see you back in form my guy. it was almost over to an extent one yeye coach of netherland low division treathened to report your lazyness to liverpool. Hard work pays more than just been talented, isaac promise and kelechi iheanacho needs to work harder to reach there potential, the last time i was ranting on iheanacho and some forumites was angree with me, to be honest it was a case of luv turn hate, i so much love that player that i predicted him to be greater than jayjay in the future, but since when the guy begin fall my hand i couldnt even mention his name around my friends anymore, infact any new Nigerian player i try to hype again is always taking for granted bcos of iheanacho dispointments, i just hope that guy turns thing around befor he gets to his 30s, iheanacho 2013 was hoter than leonel messi of 2005, i nor kno wetin con dey hapununu, wether na home work oh or na lazyness abi na too much unexpected money? Watever it is just get back to form and regular play. u are still verry much in our mind.
@collins I’d my brother, the way I hyped Iheanacho too in those days no be small ooo. I called him ‘nigerian messi’. I wasn’t wrong. They both have the same qualities – cutting-edge dribbling, clinical finish, vision and passing, etc. Even till today, when you watch Iheanacho play you will notice he still have those skillset. What’s wrong? I don’t know. I won’t say laziness, because I’m not with him. But I think the thing is about finding that coach that knows how to use you.
Though, I will admit I never liked Taiwo Awoniyi. The guy misses goals too much. Even in this his current form.
We thank God sha.
Its time for Taiwo! Gernot Rohr knows the Bundesliga very well having played in it himself. Awoniyi has paid his dues and deserves his chance with the Super Eagles.
@Kingston, my bro nor be lie oh. Infact these young players con dey do me like the more u look the less you see! He con be like say their legs where borrowed during youth tournament and after the events the magical legs vanishes and the village legs returns, they con be like cindereally? Lol. Imagine yahaya, iheanacho, success, musa Muhammad, nwakalis, gbagboye, idowu, I so much believes in these names to feel up present eagles, now its like just a dream and one mans dream is another man nightmares these days, lol it’s not too late though, I hope they all wake up and meet up to their mates like osihmen ndidi and chukueze.
