Freiburg took the lead in the 5th minute through Maximilian Eggestein’s brilliant finish before Angelo Stiller leveled parity in the 49th minute with low shot finish.
However, the host netted the winner in the 89th minute through Ritsu Doan to earn the team the maximum points.
The victory means Freibug sit 4th on 45 points while Hoffenheim sit bottom of the league table on 19 POINTS.
