Nice choice hope he wouldn’t disappoint though compare to dalong anybody is an upgrade
You are right.
Although we celebrate the removal of Dalung, my question is; what qualification does this new Man have to be sports minister? My hope is this isn’t the same old problem of placing square pegs in round holes.
This is going to be a new beginning. Lets celebrate his coming and forget that stupid Dalung and Giwa as they now wallow in history.
DALUNG – A study in incompetence. Abysmal performance in office. One of the worst, if not the outright worst, to ever hold the position. A total embarrassment. Good riddance!!!
Let’s hope the new guy can bring back the prestige and dignity of the sports ministry that was completely lost under the hapless predecessor.
Solomon Dalung (SD) is out & Sunday Dare (SD) is in as the new Minister of Youth and Sports. Oga Dare should ensure:
1. No bias in supports & sponsorships of sports across board
2. Elections into the boards of all associations/federations are strictly monitored & according to books
3. Funds are solicited for on time to ensure early preparation of athletes across board
4. Corruption cases are brought to book
5. continuous dialogues with sports persons on development of sports in Nigeria.
6. Targetting real development of cadre teams to blossom and subsequently replace aging athletes across all sports.
7. Encouraging associations/federations to engage tactically sound coaches who have proven their worth over the years and remain relevant to the scheme of modern coaching.
