Premier League club Brentford have triggered the buy option to sign Flying Eagles defender Benjamin Frederick.
This is according to Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Quoting sources from Nigeria, Brentford decided to activate the option and sign the 18-year-old from Kaduna based Simoiben Academy.
Romano also revealed that the contract will be valid until 2028.
Fredrick is a graduate of the Simoiben Football Academy set up by Super Eagles and Nantes winger Moses Simon.
Prior to the start of the 2021–22 season he joined ABS FC and made his debut for them in February 2022, winning the man of the match award.

He featured for the Flying Eagles that finished third at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt in January 2023, playing every minute.
Also, in May 2023 he was named in the Flying Eagles squad for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
