Werder Bremen have announced Luca Zander has joined St Pauli on a permanent deal after two years on loan at the Hamburg club.
Zander came through the Bremen academy and has spent the last two seasons on loan with St Pauli.
The Green-Whites have now announced that the 23-year-old full-back has been allowed to move to the Millerntor-Stadion on a permanent basis, with the Bundesliga 2 club paying a reported 400,000 euros for his signature. “We can only see limited opportunities for Luca to play for Werder in the Bundesliga.

At St. Pauli he’s enjoyed a lot of game time in the second division, and he is happy there. So for him, it was the obvious step to continue playing there.
We wish Luca all the best for the future,” managing director Frank Baumann told Bremen’s official website.
