Ademola Lookman has been included in the final five-man shortlist for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
CAF unveiled the final five-man shortlist on their X handle on Monday.
However, Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong did not make the final shortlist.
Lookman will battle for the award with Cote d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco and Ronwen Williams of South Africa.
In the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year category, Stanley Nwabali also made the final five-man nominees.
Other nominees in the final five are Williams of South Africa, Mostafa Shobeir of Egypt, Yahia Fofana of Cote d’Ivoire and Andre Onana of Cameroon.
Also, the Super Eagles will battle for the Men’s National Team of the Year award with South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo and South Africa and Sudan.
Other categories include Men’s Young Player of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year for (Men) and Club of the Year (Men).
The 2024 CAF Awards will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16, 2024.
