Real Madrid have been drawn against Liverpool in the quarter-finals of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
The pairing was confirmed after conclusion of the draw which was held in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
The Reds will go into the tie with revenge on their minds after they lost 3-1 to Madrid in the final of the 2018 final.
Also, there will be personal score to settle between Liverpool star forward Mohamed Salah and Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos.
Recall in the 2018 final Ramos wrestled Salah to the ground which resulted to the Egyptian getting injured and taken off early in the game.
In another tough fixture, Bayern Munich will do battle against Paris Saint-Germain in a repeat of the final last season.
Edit
PSG will hope to get one over the Bundesliga giant following last season’s 1-0 final defeat courtesy of a Kingsley Coman’s goal.
In other draw, Manchester City will take on Borussia Dortmund while FC Porto will tackle Chelsea for a place in the last four.
The winner of the Bayern Munich vs PSG clash will face the winner from the Man City vs Dortmund tie, and the winner from the Madrid vs Liverpool game will face off against the team that emerge from the Porto vs Chelsea encounter.
The quarter-finals first legs will be played on 6 and 7 April, and the second legs will be played on 13 and 14 April 2021.
