Manchester City have been crowned the 2023/24 Premier League champions after defeating West Ham 3-1 in their final fixture of the season.
City have now become the first-ever team to win the English topflight a record four straight times.
Going into the final fixture, City needed an outright win against the Hammers to be crowned champions and they got off to the perfect start as Phil Foden opened the scoring.
Foden grabbed his second goal in the 18th minute to make it 2-0 but West Ham pulled a goal back on 42 minutes thanks to a spectacular bicycle kick by Mohamed Kudus.
In the 59th minute Rodri restored City’s two-goal lead by adding the third goal.
City’s title rivals Arsenal edged Everton 2-1 at the Emirates but it was not enough to land them a first league title since 2004.

That Kudus goal
The NOISY NEIGHBOURS have done it again. For the 4th consecutive time.
Incredibly difficult to win the premier league. The talent and resources needed to accomplish this is nothing to sneeze at. Most teams can’t cope with the rigorous demands. But Man City have done it 4 consecutive times.
A dream start for Man City with 2 great goals from Foden, the premier league player of the year. A deadly sniper he is. His sniper goal celebration is not for nothing.
Then Kudus’ wonder goal created a nervous moment, but Rodri’s last strike confirmed that the trophy would be staying at the Etihad. Rodri is creating a reputation for scoring goals in pivotal matches. Scored in the last game of the premier league last year, scored in the FA cup final, scored again in the Champions League final. And he scored again today!
Big congrats to PEPPITY PEP and his lads.
