Bournemouth have reportedly struck a deal with partner club FC Zurich for teenage ‘super talent’ Becir Omeragic. The Cherries and the Swiss Super League club announced closer ties with each other last summer with both clubs expected to benefit from the link-up.
At the time it was reported that Bournemouth would have the first option on signing any player that Zurich have and it appears as though Cherries scouts have identified one. Swiss newspaper Luzerner Zeitung, who confirm that Bournemouth have a ‘foot in the door’ at Zurich, state that Eddie Howe’s side have assisted in the signing of 17-year-old Omeragic.
The Geneva-born defender joined Zurich from Servette shortly after starring in the European Under-17 Championships in England and at around the same time that the Cherries link-up was finalised. He made his first-team debut for Zurich in May and appears to have a big future ahead of him.
