Real Betis have allowed attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz to complete a permanent move to Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne. The Algeria international has struggled to find his best form since joining Betis from Montpellier two years ago and he spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow La Liga club Celta Vigo.
In total, Boudebouz scored three goals and provided three assists from his 41 appearances for the Andalusians and he has now made a return to France with Saint-Etienne, who have reportedly paid 4million euros to secure his services, nearly half what Betis forked out for him back in 2017.
Boudebouz is the ninth player to leave Betis during the off-season, as Los Verdiblancos are actively looking to lower their wage bill to comply with La Liga demands, following the high-profile arrivals of Nabil Fekir, Alfonso Pedraza, Dani Martin and Juanmi.
