Bordeaux are keen to bring Olivier Giroud back to France in the summer but Chelsea may want to keep hold of the striker.
There are doubts over whether Giroud will stay at Stamford Bridge as he continues to be linked with a return to France when the transfer window re-opens, and Bordeaux are keen.
The World Cup winner’s contract expires at the end of the season, although Chelsea have the option to extend that deal for another year, and Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to take it up.

Asked if he wants to hold on to Giroud, Sarri said: “Yes, of course. I know the club have an option for another season, so I think he will remain.” If Sarri remains in charge, his transfer policy will depend on the transfer embargo.
If it stands for the next two windows, then keeping Giroud will be a must and Bordeaux will have to look elsewhere for a new striker.
