Getafe have been boosted by the news coach Jose Bordalas is set to stay at the club for the 2019-20 La Liga campaign.
The 55-year-old has enjoyed a successful three seasons at Los Azulones having guided the club back to the top-flight at the first attempt in his first campaign at the helm, while he has just finished his third year by securing an impressive fifth-placed finish.
Bordalas was named Coach of the Season in La Liga on UEFA.com and it resulted in speculation that several clubs were looking to secure his services this summer.

However, when asked about his future, Bordalas said: “There is no reason to think anything other than I’ll continue here. “I have to keep repeating myself, but I have a contract with Getafe and I want to continue with Getafe.” President Angel Martin added: “Our coach is Bordalas and we are planning together for next season, we have already spoken about potential players and dates for pre-season.”
