Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface will return to action soon, according manager Xabi Alonso.
Boniface has been sidelined since sustaining a thigh injury while on international duty last November.
The 24-year-old was expected to return to action early this year but recently suffered a setback in his recovery process.
Alonso has now revealed that the forward is nearing return to full action.
“Maybe next week,” “but only maybe. There is still a question mark. He is well on the way to feeling better. After that, he needs training time.”
The Nigeria international has so far scored eight goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself this season.
