Sheffield United seem set to miss out on Neal Maupay as Sevilla are believed to be leading the race for the Brentford striker. Blades boss Chris Wilder is keen to bring in some new faces in attack after guiding the club into Premier League and Maupay is rated as one of his top targets.

The 22-year-old Frenchman managed 25 goals in the Championship last season and had also been linked with Aston Villa. However, it now looks as if a move to La Liga could be on the cards for Maupay as reports in Spain claim his agent has traveled to Seville to hold talks with the Sevillistas.
Wilder may now have to look elsewhere as he bids to bolster his options up front in the summer window. Swansea’s Oli McBurnie and West Brom’s Jay Rodriguez remain targets but it is thought United’s interest in Middlesbrough striker Britt Assombalonga has cooled.
