Sheffield United will reportedly take advantage of a bust-up between Pontus Jansson and Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa by making a swoop. Reports are suggesting that the 28-year-old Sweden international has been told to stay away from the Whites’ Thorp Arch training ground following a disagreement with Bielsa.

Details of the fall-out have not been specified but it has resulted in speculation that Blades boss Chris Wilder is keeping a close eye on developments. Wilder has been busy looking to add to his squad in preparation for the club’s return to the Premier League and snapped up Luke Freeman from QPR on Wednesday.
Jansson has no experience of playing in the English top flight but has played in Italy’s Serie A with Torino. He has made 120 appearances, scoring nine goals, with Leeds since joining on an initial loan deal in 2016. The player has been a huge fans’ favourite at Leeds and is a big part of the club. However, the opportunity to play in the Premier League could prove tempting if his supposed clash with Bielsa is not rectified.
