Sheffield United have submitted an offer for Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn, according to reports. The Blades are keen to further strengthen their squad ahead of a first return to the Premier League in 12 years.

They have already signed Luke Freeman from Queens Park Rangers for a club-record fee of £5million and brought back Phil Jagielka to the club he started his career at. Now, it appears Forest midfielder Osborn is the latest target for Chris Wilder’s side as they seek to add depth to their midfield.
The left-footer, who can also operate out wide and a left-back, has just one year left on his current Forest deal and could be available at a cut-price. The report understands Sheffield United have bid £3million for the 24-year-old but Forest are keen on holding out for double that.
