Reports claim Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has told defender Mark Duffy he is free to leave Bramall Lane this summer. Duffy, 33, was central to Wilder’s plans in 2018-19, making 36 appearances and scoring six goals as the Blades earned a shock promotion to the Premier League.
He also helped the club to fight their way out of League One in 2016-17 but Wilder does not feel he has a role to play in the top flight. Duffy was not part of the squad during the pre-season friendly at Northampton on Saturday and reports claim he is looking for a new employer. Nottingham Forest are understood to be monitoring the situation and have been linked with a £4.5million swoop.
